Boston

Boston... what a great place to visit any time of the year, but particularly right now.

Boston is a city that has something for everyone, from the bustle of the inner harbour and whale watching, shopping and of course the food!

After years of watching Cheers on TV I finally made it to this charming and welcoming city. First I discovered not to drive , one can easily get around on the subway for almost nothing. People are helpful and it was safe.

Boston is full of history. The Boston Tea Party, Paul Rever's Ride, and the Boston Massacre. If you like history you can not miss the Freedom Trail. The trail itself is 2.5 miles and is clearly marked by a red line down the sidewalk. With 18 historic sites to stop at it is a don't miss. My favorite stop was Faneul Hall. The hall houses the Quincy market which was a hoot! Full of music, street performers and food for any budget.

For the more chic there is Newbury Street, full or expensive, trendy and one of a kind boutiques, it was a shopping experience!

To finish the day recommend the North End. Narrow European streets, restaurants, cafes and character best describe this area.

These are but a few of the places to visit in this exciting and welcoming city. Right now there are some good travel discounts to visit Boston.
